Hi Thanks for your reply I am not saying I did'nt enjoy my cruise I have been on Destany at least 6 times. I had no problem with staff or food and as usual the entertainment was great. I hope they will do is carpet where it's frayed out side the dinning room also the deck in some places is rotting. The steamer chairs have been replaced so how about the sun beds. it all needs a general update. If it went for a 3 week refit thay wasted their money.
We did the Colourful Coasts cruise departing the boat on 30th November at Tenerife. Had agreat time. We understood that the Destiny was sailing that day to Marseille for a 3 week refurbishment so she should be llooking better now.
Returned from the destiny after week cruising over xmas, very very disappointed. Glorified ferry comes to mind and "butlins on sea" very poor service from staff with a "robotic" approach and the food certainly did not meet the standads of previous cruise on Carnival miracle. As for the cabins well, so glad it was only a week. Ship definatly needs considerable improvement to get it to acceptable standard for the price of a cruise.
It's Thomson so you get what you pay for - all the ships are 'old' and are bound to be tired.
Would not fancy the crossing over to the Caribbean on one (they probably fly you over) but went over on P&O Aurora, 22 nights there and back and never felt the ship move...
Thats the difference!
