Find Your Cruise
Hey - my mum was on Saga Ruby over Christmas - sounds dreadful with no power on one day and their cabin flooded on the last day - hope yours was more successful.
A few years ago we had problems on the Rose.We were near Greenland and they kept turning the water off for about 30 minutes. Our table companions assured us that this was a one off.
WE arrived at nuuk in Greenland and whilst exploring the town a greemlander stopped us to ask if we were from the Rose.we said yes we were.He explained that he had been on the Rose when it had been a German Ship.He then said "Have they sorted the plumbing problems out yet"
Our table companions refused to believe us.The Rose and the Ruby have a tremendously loyal customers, they differ from most cruisers as we look for where cruise is going and which ship is secondary ,well almost as there are some we would avoid but Saga customers just look at the Saga cruise brochure and decide which saga cruise they are going on this year.We will still go on the Saga Boats if the cruise is an attractive one to us.
Mr Winkley - you are so right about the loyalty - she refuses to go on any other cruise line despite me waving brochures under her nose for 5* Azamara and Celebrity - and insists on paying practically double to go on Saga.
THanks for the reply. I am not sure that Saga are so much more expensive than the other cruise lines. However are you aware that certainly on Princess it is possible to bring wine onboard and pay the corkage.
We are going on the Sydney singapore leg of the QE2's world cruise in february and given the fact that we like Australian wine we will investigate the possibility of doing the same on the QE2.
we are not big cunard fans as we do not like having your dining room status linked to your cabin grade.
we had a cabin on the QE2,an outside cabin and if the maid did not make the bed properly at the end of the bed we could not get into the bathroom.
The porthole is useless for viewing purposes alright for letting light in ,but the entertainment was the best we have had on a cruise ship. Thanks for the reply. Jim.
