Hi Will, First of all get to know your ship, she's beautiful, big but beautiful. Walk all around, put your head into all the differing departments of her including whichever restaurant you have chosen. Feel the ship and the open decks and the majesty of her. Talk to people, crew and passengers, not for long but to get into the habit of doing what true cruisers do. Have a snack or even have it sent to your cabin. Watch out for those awful carpets on some floors they will make your eyes go googly. Enjoy being served and do it as often as you can, you will not get better service with any other cruise line. We often go to breakfast, and lunch in the restaurant because each time it is an experience and you have paid for it and you will only find the equivalent in very good hotels and restaurants. Take advantage of the shows they are much better than QE2 and, particularly if you like a dance, immerse yourself in the Queens Room and soak up the ambience and luxury of it. When you get your daily events paper sit in bed with a tea or coffee and decide what you want to do and see during sea days and shore days, mark them with felt tip or biro and don't miss a thing. There that's enough to go on with.....just do as so many of us do and love the cruise....regards Ida (oh and Neil.
