Find Your Cruise
Took the following from the NCL web site:
NCL Kid’s Crew counsellors offer group supervision and activities for children aged 2 to 12 at a nominal cost. Evening hours are 10pm to 1am. In port, the group sitting programme operates from 9am to 5pm. Sorry, but private babysitting is not available.
We did not find NCL the best cruise line for children. You have to pay at times for baby sitting services as mentioned above(I think $5 per hour). Also if your daughter is under the age of 2, I dont think they cater for her at all. On our cruise this meant lots of families with pushchairs by the pool and bored children.
Take a look at Cunard, they take children from the age of 1 and have fully qualified british nannies to look after them. The service is complimentary and is excellent.
Freestyle cruising means you dont have to worry about dressing up. You can eat in many different dinning locations etc. Unfortunately, you have to pay a surcharge for the speciality restaurants which adds up over the cruise. What seemed a good value for money cruise turned out to be a very expensive one. Better value can be found elsewhere, especially if you have children. Kind regard.
FreeStyle crusing is fab - not forced to eat dinner at a set time and not forced to sit at the same table every night with the same people. There will be approx 12 restaurants on board - the main dining room and a few others and then there will be the speciality restaurants like an upmarket Italian, French, Teppanyaki which are a small supplement of around $20pp and which are well worth it = you have to pre book these.
Do you mean Jade, we've booked for next August.
