Find Your Cruise
The ship grosses in at 90K tonns with 15 decks. This cruise is 12 nights and calls at Villefranche for Nice - Livorno for Florence and Pisa - Civitavecchia for Rome - Mykonos,(Greece) Kusadasi for Ephesus (Turkey) - Santorini,(Greece) Piraeus for Athens and Naples for Capri, Pompeii and Sorrento.
Hiya. This style of ship, the Radiance Class, has a different lay out to most other cruise ships and you should find it a joy as do most others I know who have travelled on it. The Activities Staff are great and will keep you wanting to go back for more and the food is better that other Royal Caribbean ships, in my opinion, but not quite as good as Princess food. I would suggest you read the item about this ship this class of ship in the Berlitz guide on this site which gives a very unbiased view of what you can expect. I don't know which ports of call you have but I am going to suggest that you visit a site that contains both cruise and critic in it's name, enrol and the look at your particular cruise to get an idea of what many of your fellow passengers believe they will find worth doing and maybe join in with the "mix and mingle". Good on ya mate ....Nei.
We didn't cruise on her, but had a tour of the ship, and then lunch on board 'Serenade of the Seas', which is Brilliance's sister ship. The decor is just about drop-dead gorgeous on Serenade -and should be, on Brilliance, too. Yes, do consult the Berlitz Complete Guide to Cruising for further details and ratings. Can't see that you'd be disappointed(although Wife reckoned the food was better on OV2....mind you we only had one lunch on Serenade, but She'd know quick enough!!)
Came home to check the relative food ratings in the Berlitz Guide, and do you know She's right? -Women.
