I am not sure that any cruise lines have plans to actually cruise from this new facility, especially P&O who have invested millions of pounds in their home port of Southampton. Maybe Fred Olsen, who already cruises from a number of ports around Britain at various times of year will give it a try. The main function of this new dock is to allow VISITING cruise ships of a much larger size to dock in Liverpool thus bringing much needed revenue to the City and surrounding area. There is already quite a list of ships that will be calling at the new dock in the near future. These include Grand Princess, Crystal Symphony, QE2 and a couple of the Holland America Line ships.
